Green Container Carriers

In September 2020, CMA CGM, a French Container Carrier Company (and the fourth largest in the world by capacity) set the record of being the first container carrier company to build and launch a mega container carrier. The company launched the largest LNG-powered container vessel in the world, the CMA CGM Jacques Saade. The Jacques Saade has a capacity of 23,000 TEU containers. In addition to it, CGM CMA has ordered another eight number of these Ultra Large Container Carriers (ULCC), with the same configuration as the Jacques Saade. These are meant to be operational by 2022.
The company took this initiative in order align with the global drive towards a greener earth.

When talking of the most profitable company in the world, one thought that will always come to our mind is the popular companies like amazon, google, apple or Microsoft who are driving the world economy. But the truth has been revealed of a company, a silent warrior emerging the most profitable company in the world. After several years of operating in silence, the Saudi Arabian state-owned Oil Company, Aramco has publicly disclosed its earning to the world and this has revealed one thing- It is the most profitable company in the world. The revelation showed that the company made a staggering $111 billion in 2018.

Coming right after it is Apple, which made $59.4 billion in 2018; a little above half the Aramco’s figure. Aramco had revenue of $355.9 billion, and $48.8 billion of cash on the books at the end of last year. That’s far more than its debt of $27 billion. It was helped by a 31% increase average oil prices in 2018 compared to 2017.

Aramco had been billed to go public in 2018. The plan would have offered 5% of the company up for sale. This would have been the largest initial public offering ever. The offering never saw the light of day.

Joe Biden Elected 46th President of the United States

Joe Biden (Full Name: Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.) has been elected as the 46th president of the United States of America. He defeated the incumbent president Donald Trump by 290 to 213 electoral college vote (270 is required to win) and 4,857,880 (50.6%) to 70,598,535 (47.7%) in popular vote. Biden ran on the ticket of the Democratic party while Trump ran on the ticket of the Republican party.

Biden was born on November 20, 1942 in Scranton, Pennsylvania in the United States. He will be sworn in January 2021. Prior to his election, Biden served as the 47th vice president from 2009 to 2017 during the tenure of former President Barack Obama.
